GARTHFUL 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Cool I guess...? I'mma be real I don't feel a year older, do you?

Anyway, I decided like a week before the anniversary to do a small update to Garthful.

This update contains a bunch of quality of life stuff, nerfs, buffs BUT also brand new content!

Be sure to check it out if you didn't feel like playing before... because now anyone of any skill level can play Garthful

Easy Mode has been added! No need to memorize boss patterns, no need to manage your mags!

If you are here just to experience the story, go for it! (things might be a little different if you do so...)

List of Changes:

Normal mode - Easier than before.

Hard mode - Easier than before and readjusted.

Easy mode! - New way to experience Garthful!

- New interesting items!

- New cool skills!

- New area to explore!

- New start menu!

- New characters!

- Most Items got a buff/rework!

- Enemy reworks and changes!

- More intuitive Shop UI!

- Type in codes to reveal/unlock interesting things...

- Some graphics reworked!

- Bug fixes!

- And more!

Now I don't promise that it's all perfect, I did start working on all of this a week before the anniversary. (Mainly because I was bored)

Also this should be obvious but don't use old saves or it might corrupt stuff and we both know that's bad.

...Change of pace, I'm currently working on a LISA project with a bunch of cool people for the second gamejam.

I'm not really used to work in a group, so this is pretty cool.

I'm the jack of all trades, master of none in the team but I script mainly.

We had a bit of dead air that gave me time to work on this update since I wanted to do something, ANYTHING.

And that's where that update came from.

The way I coded stuff in Garthful back then is pissing me off today, which is very good. No matter what, my coding and scripting have both improved by a lot because of this game, even if it started as an april fools joke, I'm genuinely thankful to my past self that made it.

Fun fact: Only a few people know this, but I was making a second fangame on my own time, it was supposed to be released in summer last year, it's a survival horror game set in a LISA world, a side story to Awful before it releases. The story follows a bunch of noname bikers from Volt's gang that were sent on a mission to explore an abandoned compound, only to realize that it's filled with joy mutants. Though I didn't release it because I got discouraged after making Garthful.
